Meet in front of La Casa del Carnaval to start this free tour of Barranquilla. The tour begins with a walk through Barrio Abajo, the center of Barranquilla's popular culture, featuring colorful houses and discussing the significance of the Carnival, recognized as Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

During the tour, see various church façades, including the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Queen Mary Cathedral. Additional stops include the Edgard Rentería baseball stadium and the Customs House. Discussions will cover notable figures from the city, such as writer Gabriel García Márquez and singers Joe Arroyo and Shakira.
