Cartagena de Indias Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at 6 am and transport you by minibus to Cartagena de Indias, the capital of the department of Bolivar. The journey lasts just under 2 hours and includes breakfast with fruit, a sandwich, and juice.

Upon arrival in Cartagena, you will experience its colourful monuments and lively atmosphere. The city, which is surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, is one of the most visited in Colombia.

The tour includes visits to the neighbourhoods of Bocagrande, Laguito, and Castillo Grande, discussing the differences between the inner and outer bay of Cartagena. You will also visit the Convent of La Popa and enjoy a typical lunch at the restaurant La Mulata.

Next, you will explore the Fort of San Felipe de Barajas and learn about this historic fortress. There will be some free time to appreciate the vaults and browse local craft and jewellery stalls.

The day concludes with visits to the Gold Museum and Bolivar Square, significant symbols of Cartagena de Indias, before returning to your hotel in Barranquilla by 5 pm.
