We'll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at 6 am and take a minibus to Cartagena de Indias, the capital of the department of Bolivar. The journey takes just under 2 hours, during which breakfast will be provided, consisting of fruit, a sandwich, and juice.

Arriving in Cartagena, we will explore its colourful monuments and lively lifestyle. This historic city, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, is one of the most visited cities in Colombia.

We'll visit the neighbourhoods of Bocagrande, Laguito, and Castillo Grande, discussing the differences between the inner and outer bay of Cartagena. After visiting the Convent of La Popa, lunch will be served at the restaurant La Mulata.

Next, we'll ascend to the Fort of San Felipe de Barajas to learn about this historic defensive fortress. Free time will be given to explore the vaults and browse local crafts and jewellery stalls.

Finally, we'll visit the Gold Museum and Bolivar Square, two key symbols of Cartagena de Indias. We'll return to the hotels in Barranquilla at 5 pm.
