We'll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at 6 am and take a minibus to Cartagena de Indias, the capital of the department of Bolivar. The journey takes just under 2 hours, during which we'll enjoy breakfast consisting of fruit, a sandwich, and juice.

Arriving in Cartagena, we will explore its colourful monuments and lively lifestyle. This historic city is one of the most visited cities in Colombia.

We'll visit the neighbourhoods of Bocagrande, Laguito, and Castillo Grande while discussing the differences between the inner and outer bay of Cartagena. After visiting the Convent of La Popa, we'll have a typical lunch at the restaurant La Mulata.

Next, we will head to the Fort of San Felipe de Barajas and learn about its history. You will have free time to admire the vaults and explore stalls selling local crafts and jewellery.

To conclude the day, we will visit the Gold Museum and Bolivar Square, two significant symbols of Cartagena de Indias. We will return to hotels in Barranquilla by 5 pm.
