Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta Day Trip

Pickup from your hotel in Barranquilla is at 5:30 am, after which we will head to the western part of the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta.

During this visit to the municipality of Ciénaga, we'll explore the mouth of the Sevilla River and observe the exotic birds native to the Magdalena region. Notably, this area is home to the largest community of cormorants in Colombia.

Additionally, we will look for the endangered Northern screamer, which plays a crucial role in the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta ecosystem. Besides wildlife observation, you will appreciate the unique mangrove landscape and the natural beauty of the river estuary.

After a traditional meal, we will return to Barranquilla, with an estimated arrival back at your hotel by 3:30 pm.
