Arroyo Turquesa (Turquoise Brook) is one of the natural jewels of the Argentinean Andes. With this private tour from Barreal, you'll enjoy a unique environment.
Arroyo Turquesa Trip
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Barreal at 10 am and set off in a 4x4 jeep to the Laguna Blanca shelter, located approximately 50 miles away.
At this lake, situated at 10,100 ft, we'll begin a 5-mile trek through the Andes mountains. Throughout the walk, we'll take several 15-minute breaks. Additionally, we'll stop at the Guanaquitos Post at over 11,000 feet to taste some local products. After lunch, we'll proceed to the Arroyo Turquesa natural reserve, located at nearly 13,500 feet.
Once we reach our destination, we'll explain the causes behind the intense color of the stream and take photos along its banks, showcasing local Andean flora and fauna.
From the stream, we'll return on foot to the starting point of the trek. We will then get back into the jeep for our return journey to Barreal, viewing more spectacular Andean landscapes along the way. After a short snack break, we'll return you to your hotel, concluding the tour around midnight.
