Hongos de Tocota Private Trip

At 10 am, we will depart from your hotel in Barreal and travel by jeep to the surroundings of the Tocota River, nestled between the foothills of the Sierra del Tontal and the Andes.

We will visit the unique Hongos de Tocota (Tocota Mushrooms) rock formations. These sandstone rocks, shaped by erosion, resemble giant mushrooms and most are between 30 and 50 feet tall.

During the route through the Barreal-Rodeo depression, we will see various forms of these rock mushrooms. You will hear about the natural process that shaped these structures, while taking photos next to these colossal stones.

A delicious country lunch featuring several regional specialties will be provided. Afterward, we will return to Barreal. Along the way, we will stop for a light snack in the open air, enjoying more Andean landscapes.

We will arrive back at your hotel at 7 pm.
