Hongos de Tocota Private Trip

At 10 am, we will depart from your hotel in Barreal and travel by jeep to the surroundings of the Tocota River, located between the foothills of the Sierra del Tontal and the Andes.

We will visit the Hongos de Tocota (Tocota Mushrooms) rock formations, which are large sandstone rocks shaped by erosion into the appearance of mushrooms, with heights ranging from 30 to 50 feet.

During the route through the Barreal-Rodeo depression, we will observe different forms of these rock mushrooms. While taking selfies, you will learn about the natural processes that formed these structures.

We will take a break for a country lunch featuring several regional specialties. After lunch, we will return to Barreal, stopping for a light snack outdoors to enjoy the Andean landscapes of San Juan.

We will arrive back at your hotel at 7 pm.
