Private Trip to Los Manantiales Refuge
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Barreal at 10 am, followed by an exciting ride in a 4x4 jeep towards the foothills of the imposing Andean mountain range that divides Argentina and Chile.
Initially, our first stop will be at the historic mountain pass traversed by General José de San Martín. On January 17, 1817, this significant crossing initiated the campaign for the independence of Peru, Chile, and Argentina. After deepening our understanding of this pivotal moment, we will proceed through Las Hornillas.
As we navigate in the all-terrain vehicle, we will traverse rivers, ascend mountain paths, and navigate rocky trails. Eventually, we will reach Los Manantiales, located at an altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level. From this vantage point, the breathtaking panorama of the mountain range awaits, leaving a lasting impression!
While relishing the captivating views from Los Manantiales, we'll indulge in a delightful picada de campo. After our meal, we'll commence our return journey. Keep an eye out, as we may encounter some extraordinary local wildlife, including wild horses and condors soaring overhead.
Midway through our return, we will pause for a light snack before arriving back at your hotel by 6 pm.
