Bath Guided Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of Bath Abbey, where we can contemplate its structure and stained glass windows. Its façade and location on the banks of the River Avon make this Gothic temple the city's iconic landmark.
We'll see the Bath Assembly Rooms, built in the Georgian style, where society once met and which were frequented by Jane Austen and Charles Dickens. Next, we'll visit the exterior of the Roman Baths, founded in 70 AD during the time of Emperor Vespasian.
This tour continues in the oldest part of the city, explaining its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll pass by the Theatre Royal and then move to Queen's Square, an important architectural element of Bath.
In the final part of the tour, we'll approach the Royal Crescent, which features thirty terraced houses arranged in a crescent, representing a key example of Georgian architecture in the UK. After admiring the Crescent, we'll cross the Georgian-style Pulney Bridge and walk along the riverbank of the River Avon.
We'll conclude our tour after two hours exploring the history and culture of this city.
