Come and discover the charms of Bath, a city declared a World Heritage Site for its historical and artistic heritage. On this guided tour you'll see its Roman baths, the majestic Abbey and the Royal Crescent.
Bath Guided Tour
At the indicated time we'll meet in front of the entrance to Bath Abbey. We will contemplate its structure and stained glass windows. Its location on the banks of the River Avon makes this Gothic temple the city's most iconic landmark.
Next, we'll see the Bath Assembly Rooms, built in the Georgian style, frequented by notable figures such as Jane Austen and Charles Dickens. We'll continue to the Roman Baths, visiting the exterior and learning about the historic bath complex founded in 70 AD during the time of Emperor Vespasian.
We will explore the oldest part of the city to understand why it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll pass by the Theatre Royal and move on to Queen's Square, representing a significant architectural element of Bath.
In the final part of the tour, we'll approach the Royal Crescent, an important residential complex of thirty terraced houses. It's recognized as a prime example of Georgian architecture in the UK and is on a list of state-protected buildings. After admiring the Crescent, we'll cross the Georgian-style Pulney Bridge and walk along the riverbank of the River Avon.
The tour concludes after two hours of exploring the history and culture of this fascinating city.
