Join us to discover Brazil's exclusive and unique biome on this 2-day trip through the Caatinga in Paraíba. Hike through stunning landscapes, see the native flora and fauna, and admire the starry sky while camping!

Tour Details

Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel in João Pessoa to begin our journey through the Caatinga. After a 112-mile (180-kilometer) drive, we'll stop at the Archeological Complex of Pedra do Altar in Barra de Santana to prepare for a 0.9-mile (1.5-kilometer) hike to the Paraíba River.

During the hike, we will visit archeological sites of the Tapuia indigenous people. The area features calderas, natural pools, and waterfalls.

We will have lunch at the archeological complex's restaurant, then proceed to Lajedo do Marinho, known for its rock formations. We will camp overnight, enjoying a bonfire and the starry sky.

Day 2

On the second day, we will have breakfast before embarking on a 3.1-mile (5-kilometer) hike along the Trilha de Antonio Conselheiro. We will explore rock formations and notable sites including Lajedo dos Esquecidos, Pedra do Hambúrguer, Pedra da Coxinha, and the Trono de Deus.

After completing the trail, we'll have lunch before returning to João Pessoa, where we will arrive at your hotel around 6:30 p.m.

Accommodation Info

This tour includes an overnight stay at a campsite in a tent with mattresses and bedding provided. The campsite has bathrooms, electricity, internet, refrigerators, and hammocks for your comfort.
