Visit one of the symbolic jewels of Normandy with this Mont Saint Michel Full Day Tour from Bayeux.

Description

At 8:30 am, we'll meet at Place Québec in Bayeux to depart by minibus for the south of Normandy.

After a 90-minute drive, you'll arrive at Mont-Saint-Michel, the second most visited place in France after Paris. It is located at the mouth of the Couesnon River, near the border between Normandy and Brittany.

The tour will begin with a visit to the Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey, a medieval temple dedicated to the archangel St Michael. You will observe the Romanesque architecture of the abbey church and the Marvelle, where monks resided.

During the tour of the cloister, the refectory, and other areas, you will learn about some of the secrets and legends of Mont-Saint-Michel, many of which have influenced films and literature, such as the novel The Angel's Promise.

You will have 1 hour of free time to have lunch and explore the narrow streets of the village beneath the abbey. A recommendation is to climb to the viewpoints for panoramic views of the bay.

Finally, we will reconvene to return to Bayeux, arriving at 4:30 pm.
