Normandy Landing Beaches D-Day Tour
On 6 June 1944, D-Day, the tour departs from Place Québec in Bayeux. The first stop is the village of Sainte-Mère-Eglise, where American paratroopers landed. Next, the tour visits Utah Beach, one of the landing beaches. Following this, the group will go to Pointe du Hoc for views of the beaches involved in the Normandy Landings.
After an hour for lunch, the tour continues to Omaha Beach, where participants will learn about the amphibious assault and its significance in World War II. The last stop is Colleville-sur-Mer, home to the Normandy American Cemetery, where there is 45 minutes allocated for exploration of the cemetery and its Visitor Centre. The tour concludes with a return to Bayeux after 8 hours.
Half day tour
A half-day tour is available, departing from Place Québec in Bayeux towards Omaha Beach. Subsequent stops include Pointe du Hoc and the Normandy American Cemetery. The group will return to Bayeux 4 hours after pickup.
