Normandy Landings Motorcycle + Sidecar Tour
June 6th, 1944, is the date of D-Day, when the Normandy Landings occurred. The tour departs from Bayeux via motorcycle and sidecar, providing a comprehensive overview of the historic events that transpired.
An experienced guide will drive the motorcycle, allowing for two passengers: one behind the guide and another in the sidecar. The route includes several significant sites. Our first stop is Arromanches, where we will view part of Port Mulberry and other artificial ports. Next, we will visit Longues-sur-Mer, known for its former defense arsenal and coastal views.
Afterward, we will proceed to the village of Port-en-Basin and on to Omaha Beach, a principal landing site on D-Day. Visitors can experience the historical significance of this location. Adjacent to Omaha Beach is the American Cemetery of Normandy, where we will pay respects to those lost on this day and throughout the war, followed by a visit to the Point du Hoc cliff.
We will return to Bayeux, concluding the tour after approximately 3.5 hours.
