Normandy Landings Motorcycle + Sidecar Tour
June 6th, 1944, is known as D-Day, marking the Normandy Landings during World War II. Departing from Bayeux, this motorcycle and sidecar tour covers significant historical events of that day. Our experienced guide will ride the motorcycle, allowing for two passengers: one seated behind the guide and the other in the sidecar. This setup offers an engaging way to explore the area.
Our first stop is Arromanches, where we'll view part of Port Mulberry and other artificial ports built for Allied forces. Next, we visit Longues-sur-Mer, known for its former defense arsenal and coastal views. From there, we proceed to the village of Port-en-Basin before arriving at Omaha Beach, a principal landing site on D-Day, rich in historical significance.
Adjacent to Omaha Beach is the American Cemetery of Normandy, where we will honor those who lost their lives on that day and throughout the war. Our final stop is the Point du Hoc cliff, after which we will return to Bayeux, concluding the 3.5-hour tour.
