Whale Watching by Speedboat

Hop aboard a speedboat for a whale watching activity in Húsavík Bay, where you can see marine mammals and Icelandic puffins up close.

Activity Details

We will meet at Hafnarstétt 7 in Húsavík harbour at the scheduled time. From there, we will board a speedboat and set off into Húsavík Bay for a whale watching experience.

The speedboat trip lasts 2 hours as we explore the bay to spot the largest whales and observe their behaviors. Information about the marine mammals inhabiting northern Iceland will be provided during the tour.

After the 2-hour exploration, the tour will conclude.

Puffin Season

If you participate in this activity between April 15 and August 15, the experience will include a visit to Puffin Island to see the birds during their season.

Whale Watching

If whales are not spotted during the activity, you will have the option to join a trip on a traditional oak boat, subject to availability.
