Tour Details

Welcome to the capital of China! At the designated time, we'll meet at Exit D of the Hugangquaio Metro Station to begin this free walking tour that will take us to the most important spots in Beijing. Let's go!

The tour highlights the city's transition from being an old walled capital to the country's political centre and a cultural landmark.

We will visit one of the oldest theatres to discuss the Beijing Opera, an intangible cultural heritage. Then, we'll explore famous hutongs to learn about the Mongol legacy. We will also see a cultural representation in a patio.

At the Hutong Market, you'll have free time for local delicacies. We will continue on Yangmei Old Street to explore artisanal shops and learn about Beijing's urban layout.

Next, we proceed down Dashilar Street to discuss the history of Chinese merchants, followed by visiting the narrowest hutong in the city, leading us to Qianmen Street.

We will find Beijing's Central Axis, a World Heritage Site, connecting major monuments and ceremonial buildings that showcase the city's evolution.

Finally, we’ll visit the outside of the Zhengyangmen Gate's Archery Tower, near Tiananmen Square. The tour spans a total of 3.5 hours.
