Tour Description
At the indicated time, head to Liyuan Theater to enjoy a traditional dinner and an opera show in Beijing. You'll enjoy a traditional Beijing dinner for about an hour and a half, which may include soup, chicken, prawn, meat stir-fry, and vegetables with rice. If the group size exceeds 4, Peking duck may be served.
After dinner, you will learn about the characterisation and preparation of the actors before the show, followed by an hour-long opera show. This genre developed in Beijing at the end of the 18th century and combines music, singing, mime, dance, and acrobatics, performed by artists in elaborate costumes.
Each opera tells a story centered around four main characters: sheng (a man), dan (a young woman), jing (a man with a painted face), and chou (a clown, man or woman), representing various themes such as loyalty and betrayal.
After a total of 3 hours, the experience will conclude in Beijing.
