Activity Details

After meeting at Dongsi North Street, we will provide a brief introduction and assign either electric bicycles or scooters, along with guidelines for use and helmets. We will explore Beijing's historic hutongs.

The tour will immerse you in the daily life and culture of Beijing, navigating narrow, labyrinthine streets that have defined the city for centuries. You will hear stories of the local inhabitants and discover the enduring secrets of the area.

We will visit the historic Drum and Bell Towers, dating back to 1272, where you will learn how these structures governed the city's rhythm long before modern clocks.

Along the way, you will witness classic scenes of Beijing, including older men playing Chinese chess, vibrant stores, children at play, and hidden courtyards. The tour includes several stops for photos, and you may try local cuisine at picturesque cafes if desired.

The tour lasts for 3 hours.
