Forbidden City Guided Tour

At the appointed time, we will commence the guided tour of the Forbidden City of Beijing, one of the most notable palace complexes in China. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will explore the vast courtyards, pagodas, and pavilions that once hosted ceremonies of the Ming and Qing dynasty emperors.

After a brief introduction, we will enter this UNESCO-designated site, recognized as the world's largest architectural ensemble of ancient wooden structures. The tour will begin with the spacious courtyards leading to the pavilions used for official ceremonies.

Over the course of nearly 500 years, 24 emperors ruled from the Forbidden City, evident in its significance in Chinese history. You will discover the architectural details and symbolism within, from yellow roof tiles to gilded lion guardians and carved dragons. We will also visit the Royal Treasury Museum, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship of ancient China.

After approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, the guided tour will conclude. Guests are welcome to stay within the city walls to continue their exploration.

A minimum of 10 people per group is required to run the tour. If not reached, an alternative date will be offered.Tickets to the Forbidden City are limited; early booking is advised.For bookings made more than one week in advance, tickets will be purchased online by the supplier. Less than one week in advance requires queuing with the guide for ticket purchase, with no skip-the-line access.On the activity day, a short form must be completed for entry into the Forbidden City, with the guide assisting in the process.
