Forbidden City Guided Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the JinYu Hutong Station and begin this guided tour of the Forbidden City of Beijing, an important palace complex in China.

Accompanied by your guide, you'll explore the immense courtyards, pagodas, and pavilions, imagining the ceremonies of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Following an introduction, we'll enter this UNESCO-recognized site, known as the world's largest architectural ensemble of ancient wooden structures. We'll walk through spacious courtyards leading to the pavilions where official ceremonies took place.

Within the Forbidden City, 24 emperors ruled for almost 500 years, highlighting its historical significance. Discover the details of ancient architecture and the symbolism they represent.

We'll also visit the Royal Treasury Museum to appreciate the craftsmanship of ancient China.

Important: This tour operates at 8:30 am and lasts between 3.5 and 4 hours.

Forbidden City Guided Tour + Tiananmen Square

This option includes a visit to Tiananmen Square before the Forbidden City tour. We'll meet at the Muji Hotel Beijing.

We'll explore Tian'anmen Gate, the site of Mao Zedong's proclamation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. Tiananmen Square is the largest public square in the world, featuring the Monument to the People’s Heroes.

We will also view buildings like the National Museum of China and the Great Hall of the People, as well as the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong. This area has witnessed significant historical events, including the 1989 protests.

Important: This tour operates at 11:30 am and lasts between 4 and 4.5 hours.

A minimum of 10 people is required to run this tour. If this number is not met for your date, an alternative date will be offered.Tickets to the Forbidden City are limited; advance booking is recommended.If booking more than one week in advance, the supplier will buy tickets online. For bookings less than one week in advance, you will queue with the guide for tickets without skip-the-line access.On the activity day, a short form must be filled out for entry to the Forbidden City. Your guide will assist with this process.Correct passport details must be provided during booking for ticket issuance; errors will result in denied entry.
