Great Wall of China Day Trip

The Great Wall measures almost 5,600 miles (9,000 km) and offers several sections to visit. You can choose from three sections:

Badaling

Badaling is the best restored and most touristic section of the wall, often busy. It is not ideal for those seeking solitude, but it showcases the wall's restoration. This tour lasts for two hours.

Mutianyu

Mutianyu offers stunning surroundings with fewer tourists, making it a recommendable option for most travelers. It is well preserved and historically significant. This tour lasts almost 2 hours.

Simatai or Jinshanling

Simatai or Jinshanling features steeper, less restored sections, suitable for those in good shape looking for a trekking experience. This tour lasts between 2.5 and 3.5 hours, depending on the chosen route.

The Ming Tombs (Underground Palace)

If you tour Badaling, you can visit the Ming Tombs on the return to Beijing. Inquire with your guide to plan the schedule.
