Great Wall of China Day Trip
Stretching almost 5,600 miles (9,000 km), there are various sections of the Great Wall to visit. You can choose among three sections:
Badaling
Badaling is the most restored and tourist-heavy section. It may be crowded, which could affect your experience. The tour lasts for two hours.
Mutianyu
Mutianyu features scenic views with fewer tourists and is well-preserved. This area historically protected the capital and burial sites. The tour lasts almost two hours.
Simatai or Jinshanling
This option includes steeper and less restored sections, suited for those seeking a more rugged experience. This tour is physically demanding and lasts between 2.5 and 3.5 hours, depending on the chosen route.
The Ming Tombs (Underground Palace)
If you tour Badaling, you can visit the Ming Tombs on your return to Beijing. Please request this from your guide for scheduling.
