Great Wall of China Day Trip
The Great Wall stretches nearly 5,600 miles (9,000 km) with several visitable sections. This tour offers three options:
Badaling
Badaling is the most restored and popular section. It tends to be busy, which may not be ideal for everyone. The tour lasts for two hours.
Mutianyu
Mutianyu features fewer tourists and stunning surroundings. It is well-preserved and historically significant as the northern defense for the capital. The tour duration is almost 2 hours.
Simatai or Jinshanling
These sections offer a wilder experience with steeper areas and are suitable for those looking for physical activity. The tour lasts between 2.5 and 3.5 hours based on the chosen route.
The Ming Tombs (Underground Palace)
If you visit Badaling, you can also tour the Ming Tombs on the return to Beijing. Consult your guide to incorporate this into your schedule.
