Discover the hutongs, historic temples, business district, Olympic Village, and shopping streets of modern Beijing.
Description
After picking you up from your hotel's lobby at the scheduled time, we will head to one of Beijing's oldest areas to visit the Drum Tower, which announced time in the 3rd century.
Next, we will explore the hutongs, the oldest alleys in the city, and see locals living a traditional lifestyle. We will use a rickshaw to navigate these streets.
Continuing our exploration, we will arrive at the Yonghe Temple, the most significant Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet.
In the Guomao district, we will observe the city’s contrasts and enjoy lunch in this area.
After lunch, we will visit the Olympic Village, home to the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube, which were built for the 2008 Olympic Games.
The tour will continue at China's National Centre for the Performing Arts, known as "The Egg," which stirred debate for nearly two years due to its design.
Finally, we will pass by Wangfujing, Beijing's most important modern shopping street. While we recommend staying in this area after the tour, we can also return you to your hotel, completing the tour approximately 8 hours after pickup.
