Discover the hutongs, visit the historic temples, explore the business district, the Olympic Village, and modern shopping streets of Beijing.
Description
After picking you up from your hotel’s lobby at the agreed time, we’ll head to the Drum Tower, an ancient timekeeper from the 3rd century.
Next, we’ll explore the hutongs, traditional alleys where locals maintain their way of life. A rickshaw will be used for this tour.
We’ll then proceed to the Yonghe Temple, the principal Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet.
In the Guomao district, known for its skyscrapers, we will appreciate the contrasts of the city and have lunch.
After lunch, we will visit the Olympic Village, where the Bird's Nest and Water Cube await, both significant from the 2008 Olympics.
The tour continues at China's National Centre for the Performing Arts, known as "The Egg," which stirred debate due to its architectural design.
Finally, we will pass by Wangfujing, Beijing's primary modern shopping street. While we recommend staying in this area after the tour, we can return you to your hotel, with an approximate duration of 8 hours from pickup.
