Discover the hutongs, historic temples, business district, Olympic Village, and shopping streets of modern Beijing.

Description

After hotel pickup at the designated time, we will visit the Drum Tower, which announced the time in Beijing during the 3rd century.

Next, we will explore the hutongs, the oldest alleys in the city, where you can observe locals living a traditional lifestyle. We will take a rickshaw to navigate these streets.

Continuing our historical exploration, we will arrive at the Yonghe Temple, the most significant Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet.

In the Guomao district, notable for its skyscrapers, we will witness the city's contrasts and have lunch in the area.

After lunch, we will visit the Olympic Village to see the iconic Bird's Nest and Water Cube, which were part of the 2008 Olympic Games.

The tour will proceed to China's National Centre for the Performing Arts, also known as "The Egg", a modern building that generated extensive debate for its design.

At the end of the tour, we will pass by Wangfujing, the main shopping street in Beijing. You may choose to stay in this area or return to your hotel, arriving approximately 8 hours after pickup.
