On this tour, we'll explore two key monuments in Beijing: the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven, with a visit to the Pearl Market.

Summer Palace & Temple of Heaven

After pickup from your hotel's foyer, we will first visit the Summer Palace, a 290-hectare site used by Qing dynasty emperors during summer. We will explore notable areas and learn about their history and legends.

Following the Summer Palace visit, we'll stop to eat at a location of your choice. In the afternoon, we will proceed to the Temple of Heaven, a major sacred site where emperors performed rituals and prayed for good harvests. The surrounding park is also a vibrant area with locals practicing tai chi, playing cards, flying kites, and attending dance classes.

Our final stop will be the Pearl Market, known for offering a range of clothes, accessories, jewelry, and replicas, despite its name suggesting otherwise. The tour will conclude with a return to your hotel (or another location) 8 hours after pickup. During winter or when the tour finishes early in summer, we may visit the Beijing Olympic Village.
