Tour Details

Our journey begins early in the morning, from Tiantandongmen Station. We'll proceed to the Temple of Heaven, the largest imperial worship complex in China, where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvests. We'll admire the majestic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.

Next, we will visit the Lama Temple, the most prestigious Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Beijing, showcasing Han and Tibetan architectural styles. Here, we will see the Maitreya Buddha, carved from a single sandalwood tree and standing 18 m tall (59 ft).

After the temple visit, we will take a leisurely stroll through Beijing's hutongs, ancient lanes reflecting traditional Beijing life. You'll have free time to explore and have lunch at local restaurants.

In the afternoon, we'll head to the Summer Palace, an imperial garden and UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll stroll along Kunming Lake and admire the Long Corridor, showcasing painted scenes of nature and balance.

For an optional activity, you can take a cruise on the Imperial Canal (at an additional cost of 12 EUR per person). Those not taking the cruise will have free time to continue exploring the palace.

Finally, we'll return to the city center, concluding the tour at the National Stadium, known as the Bird's Nest, where you can continue exploring on your own.
