The Great Wall of China Mutianyu Day Trip

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at a designated meeting point and set off by bus toward the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. The journey takes about an hour and a half, providing insights about this legendary structure, which dates back to the 5th century. Upon arrival, we’ll skip the long lines for a self-guided exploration of Mutianyu, known for its dramatic mountain scenery.

You can choose a 6-km (3.7 mi) hike to one of the highest towers or purchase a ticket on-site for the cable car for a scenic ride. After visiting the wall, we’ll return to the bus for the journey back to Beijing, dropping you off at Dongzhimen Subway Station. The full excursion lasts between 6 and 8.5 hours, depending on your selection.

Depending on the time selected during booking, this day trip has different durations:

Morning Day Trip: 5 hours of free time at the Great Wall; total duration is 8.5 hours.Afternoon Day Trip: 2.5 hours of free time at the Great Wall; total duration is 6 hours.
