Byblos, Batroun and Nabu Museum Day Trip

Pick-up from your hotel in Beirut will begin at 8:30 am. The first destination will be the Nabu Museum in Chekka, approximately an hour's drive away, featuring an exceptional collection of artifacts from the Bronze and Iron Age, along with contemporary artworks from Lebanon and surrounding regions.

Next, there will be a walking tour of the coastal town of Batroun. Here, you will visit Batroun harbour and Batroun souk. Notably, Batroun may be referenced as ‘Batruna’ in the 14 BC Tal el-Amarna tablets of Egypt. You will also see the Phoenician wall, standing 225m high and sculpted into nearby beach rocks over 2,000 years ago.

Lunch will be at a traditional Lebanese restaurant, providing an opportunity to experience Lebanon's gastronomy.

After lunch, the tour proceeds to Byblos, recognized as one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities. You'll visit the castle and thereafter have free time to explore the medieval quarter, old souks, medieval ramparts, and various old churches.

Your walk will include the 19th-century souk, Saint Stephan Cathedral, Lady of the Sea Chapel, the remnants of the old Phoenician fort, the ancient Roman theater, and the Roman stadium sculpted into the rocks of MrahEl Cheikh.

At the end of the day, return to Beirut is scheduled for 5:30 pm, where drop-off will occur at your hotel.
