Delve into the fascinating history of Lebanon on this Byblos & Monastery of Saint Maron Tour, the Church of Saint Charbel and Byblos from Beirut.

Byblos & Monastery of Saint Maron

Pickup is at your hotel in Beirut at 8:30 am. The tour will first take you to the Monastery of Saint Maron in northern Lebanon, approximately 1.5 hours away, mostly along the Lebanese coastline.

This rock-carved monastery, situated at an altitude of around 1200 meters in the Jbeil region, houses the tomb of Saint Charbel and serves as a pilgrimage site. The tour continues to the monastery of St. Joseph, where the tomb of St. Rafqa, a Lebanese Maronite nun beatified in 1985, is located. Additionally, we will visit the monastery of St. Hardini in Kfifan, which contains the tomb of Maronite saint Nimatullah Al-Hardini.

At 3 pm, you will enjoy a Lebanese meal at a local restaurant. After the meal, we will proceed to Byblos, known for its historical significance. You will explore the Roman amphitheater, the temple of the obelisks, and the tombs of Phoenician kings. Additionally, while touring the ruins, you will learn about the history of this area.

Finally, you will have one hour of free time to explore the streets of Byblos and its craft market. We will return to Beirut around 6 pm.
