On this tour, you’ll be able to visit Beirut’s most important churches ranging from ancient byzantine cathedrals to more modern chapels. First you’ll check out St.George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Beirut’s oldest Downtown church renovated to its current state in 1772. Next, you’ll visit St. George Maronite Cathedral standing a few meters away from the latter and built in the 19thcentury a true work of art to be discovered. Later, you’ll learn more about the St. Louis Cathedral, a Roman Catholic Church built by Capuchin missionaries in the 19th century. St George Orthodox Church, located in Ashrafieh will mesmerize your eyes with its traditional red-tiled roof and gold-accented mosaics and an interior bursting with color.
