Belgrade Walking Tour
We'll meet at the indicated time across the street from the House of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. This building, completed in 1936, features neo-Baroque and neo-Renaissance styles and was built over several decades due to interruptions from the Balkan Wars, World War I, and the Great Depression. Just steps away, we'll see the Monument to Nikola Pašic, an important Balkan politician.
The guided tour of Belgrade will continue to Terazije Square, stopping in front of the Moskva Hotel, known for hosting many famous guests.
Next is Republic Square, where we will admire the façades of the National Theatre and National Museum. We will stroll along Knez Mihailo, a vibrant shopping street, towards the Cathedral Church of St Michael the Archangel, a significant place of worship.
Near the cathedral, we will visit one of Belgrade's oldest operational traditional taverns, known as "?" and learn about its intriguing name.
We will then proceed to Belgrade Fortress, a citadel from the 3rd century BC at the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers, where our guide will share legendary stories as we explore the ancient city walls.
After 2.5 hours, the tour will conclude in Kalemegdan Park, the largest park and a key historical monument in Belgrade.
