Details of the Day Trip

At the scheduled departure time, you will be collected from your accommodation in Belgrade, marking the start of your excursion to Novi Sad. Prepare to be captivated by the Vojvodina region's capital as we journey together!

In about 1 hour and 15 minutes, we will arrive at our destination, where a guided exploration of the city’s most notable attractions awaits.

Our adventure begins with a visit to the Petrovaradin Fortress, a significant stronghold that played a key role during the House of Habsburg's reign. Situated on a hilltop with sweeping views of the Danube River, it offers an ideal vantage point for appreciating the breathtaking vistas of the city.

Next, we will stroll through Danube Park, following its scenic paths until we reach the tranquil lake at its heart. Our itinerary continues as we make our way to the Bishop's Palace, an exquisite representation of Serbian-Byzantine architecture influenced by medieval monastery designs.

As we proceed, we will pass the Saint George's Cathedral, Novi Sad’s principal Orthodox church, and view the renowned Monument of Svetozar Mileti?, crafted by the famous Croatian artist Ivan Meštrovi?, honoring Novi Sad’s former mayor.

We'll then visit the Name of Mary Church, a Catholic church noted for its Neo-Gothic style that replaced a structure damaged during the 1848 Revolution, revealing its fascinating history. Following this, we'll see the City Hall, the National Serbian Theatre, and the notable Novi Sad Synagogue, which dates back to the early 20th century.

If you're feeling peckish, you will have around an hour of leisure time to sample some local dishes before we conclude our tour.

After delving into the historical narrative of Novi Sad, we will return to the starting point approximately 6 to 7 hours after our adventure commenced.
