Day Trip Details
We will pick you up from your hotel in Belgrade at the indicated time and set off for the impressive Danube Valley. After a 2-hour drive along the Danube, we will arrive at the Golubac Fortress, a medieval stronghold on cliffs. You will see its mystical towers, with the best views from one of them, including the Iron Gates of the Danube.
Next, we will visit the eco-ethnological complex Kapetan Mišin Breg for a view of the Djerdap Gorge, the border between eastern Serbia and Romania. You will have some free time for lunch at nearby local restaurants. We will then enjoy a 1-hour boat ride through the Iron Gates Gorge, an impressive section of the Danube.
After the boat ride, we will see the Tabula Traiana, a Roman plaque erected by Emperor Trajan, marking his road construction through challenging terrain. The experience concludes with a return to your hotel, arriving 12 hours later.
