Description
Your journey kicks off with a pick-up from your hotel at a pre-arranged time, followed by a picturesque drive through the lush green hills. As we close in on our initial destination, the magnificent Resava Gorge reveals the stunning Manasija Monastery complex, nestled within its embrace.
Upon arrival, the towering structures of this monastery, established in the 15th century, leave a lasting impression. Our visit will unveil the hidden treasures within its walls, alongside insights into its rich history and cycles of destruction and restoration. Visitors will have the rare chance to admire the exquisite floor mosaics, intricate wall frescoes, and authentic architectural details, representing the essence of Serbian medieval artistry and heritage.
Following the monastery, our next destination is the Resava Cave, an expansive underground network of karst caves spanning over 11 hectares. During the cave tour, discover various natural galleries carved from rock, adorned with a mesmerizing array of stalactites and stalagmites.
After our underground adventure, we will journey to the breathtaking Lisine Waterfalls, which cascade over 25 meters. Here, you'll have a leisurely two-hour break to soak in the beauty of the area, with numerous food vendors offering a taste of the local specialties for lunch.
