Manasija Monastery, Resava Cave & Lisine Waterfalls

Description

The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel, followed by a scenic drive through rolling green hills. We will appreciate the grandeur of the Resava Gorge where the medieval Manasija monastery complex is located.

Upon arrival, we will observe the impressive towers of the monastery built in the 15th century. The tour includes insights into the treasures hidden behind the walls, as well as the history of its construction and reconstruction. Visitors can admire the preserved floor mosaics, wall frescoes, and original architectural features, showcasing Serbian medieval architecture and ancient Serbian art.

After the monastery visit, we proceed to Resava Cave, a vast underground karst cave system spanning over 11 hectares. The cave tour features several natural galleries and various stalactites and stalagmites.

Next, we head to the Lisine Waterfalls, which stand at over 25 meters in height. You will have two hours of free time in this beautiful location, with food stalls available to try local cuisine for lunch.

At the conclusion of the day, we return to Belgrade, with a drop-off at your hotel around 4:30 pm.
