Tour Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Belgrade and set off to the Vojvodina region of northern Serbia, passing the Pannonian plain.
After about an hour of driving, our first stop will be in Fruška Gora, a national park known for its mountains. We'll visit the famous Krušedol Monastery, a legacy of the Brankovi? family.
Next, we'll arrive at Sremski Karlovci, the cultural and spiritual centre of Serbia. We'll explore its historic centre, admiring Baroque architecture and monuments such as the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas and the Patriarchate Court.
Sremski Karlovci is renowned for its winemaking, and we will visit a wine shop for a tasting of the local wine called Bermet.
Afterward, we head to Novi Sad, the second largest city in Serbia, located on the Danube. We'll visit the Petrovaradin Fortress, an example of 18th-century military architecture, nicknamed the "Gibraltar of the Danube".
We'll explore the historic centre of Novi Sad and its cultural diversity; the city was named European Capital of Culture for 2021.
After lunch in Novi Sad (not included), we will return to the meeting point in Belgrade, concluding this 8-hour excursion.
