Explore the stunning landscape, rich culture, and historical heritage of northern Serbia on this full-day excursion to Fruška Gora, Sremski Karlovci, and Novi Sad departing from Belgrade.

Tour Overview

Early in the morning, our team will collect you from your accommodation in Belgrade to embark on a journey to the Vojvodina region in northern Serbia. The route offers picturesque views of the Pannonian plain.

After approximately an hour's drive, we will arrive at our first destination, Fruška Gora, renowned for its stunning mountains and recognized as a national park, often dubbed the jewel of Serbia. Here, we will visit one of the region's renowned medieval Orthodox monasteries, specifically the Krušedol Monastery, which holds historical significance as part of the Brankovi? family's heritage.

Following this, our exploration will take us to Sremski Karlovci. This quaint town has been a pivotal cultural and spiritual hub for Serbia for over 200 years, and we'll spend time wandering its historical center. You'll have the chance to appreciate its Baroque architecture and notable landmarks, including the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas and the Patriarchate Court.

Recognized for its winemaking, Sremski Karlovci also offers a delightful opportunity to visit a local wine shop and participate in a tasting session of the regional wine known as Bermet.

Our journey will then continue to Novi Sad, the second-largest city in Serbia, situated along the Danube river. This city is a mosaic of cultures, shaped by its historical ties to various empires.

One of the highlights of our visit will be the Petrovaradin Fortress, a magnificent example of 18th-century military architecture. As you explore this iconic structure perched above the river, you’ll quickly realize why it’s affectionately referred to as the "Gibraltar of the Danube".

We will then venture into the historic center of Novi Sad to discover the rich tapestry of its cultural influences. Interestingly, the city was designated as the European Capital of Culture for 2021.

After enjoying lunch in Novi Sad (not included in the tour price), we will return to our original meeting location in Belgrade, culminating this enriching 8-hour adventure.
