Nature, culture, and history: discover the wonders of northern Serbia on this day trip to Fruška Gora and the towns of Sremski Karlovci and Novi Sad from Belgrade.
Tour Details
Participants will be picked up from their hotel in Belgrade in the morning to set off to the Vojvodina region of northern Serbia, while passing the scenic Pannonian plain.
After about an hour, the first stop will be in Fruška Gora, a national park known for its mountains. A visit will be made to Krušedol Monastery, a site of the Brankovi? family.
Next, the tour will continue to Sremski Karlovci, recognized as a cultural and spiritual hub of Serbia. The historic centre can be explored, featuring Baroque architecture and monuments such as the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas and the Patriarchate Court.
A wine shop visit will offer a tasting of the local wine called Bermet.
Following this, the journey will proceed to Novi Sad, Serbia's second largest city situated on the Danube. The Petrovaradin Fortress, an example of 18th-century military architecture, will be visited, known as the "Gibraltar of the Danube".
The historic centre of Novi Sad will provide insights into its cultural diversity, as the city was named European Capital of Culture for 2021.
The excursion concludes with a return to the meeting point in Belgrade after an 8-hour trip, with lunch in Novi Sad excluded from the price.
