Day Trip to Altun Ha + Tubing in Caves Branch

History and adventure will come together in a tropical jungle on this day trip to Altun Ha and Caves Branch! Get ready to explore an ancient Mayan city and tube down a river!

Day Trip Details

After pickup from the designated point, we will depart from Belize City to visit the archeological site of Altun Ha. This important Mayan city will transport you back to the Prehispanic period. We will explore the ruins of the pyramids and discuss the history of this site, which dates back to the 3rd century.

Following the visit to Altun Ha, a 45-minute stop will be made at a local restaurant for a Belizean lunch. After lunch, we will proceed to Caves Branch, where a tubing adventure awaits.

Upon arrival, we will hike through the jungle for approximately 45 minutes to reach the river. There, participants will board tubes known as donuts to tube down the river to the caves. This 1.5-hour journey will culminate in a visit to the caves to see unique rock formations.

At the conclusion of this 7-hour day trip, we will return you to your hotel.
