Day Trip to Altun Ha + Tubing in Caves Branch

History and adventure will come together in a tropical jungle on this day trip to Altun Ha and Caves Branch! Get ready to explore an ancient Mayan city and tube down a river!

Day Trip Details

After picking you up from the designated pickup point, we'll leave Belize City for the archeological site of Altun Ha. Once we arrive, we'll visit one of the most significant Mayan cities, exploring the ruins of the pyramids and discussing the site's history dating back to the 3rd century.

After the visit to Altun Ha, we'll pause for 45 minutes at a local restaurant for a Belizean lunch. We will then continue to Caves Branch, where we will embark on a hike through the jungle for approximately 45 minutes to reach the river. Here, we will use tubes to tube down the river to the caves. This 1.5-hour journey will also include visits to the caves to admire unique rock formations.

Finally, after this 7-hour day trip, we'll drop you off at your hotel.
