Day Trip to Altun Ha + Tubing in Caves Branch

History and adventure will come together in a tropical jungle on this day trip to Altun Ha and Caves Branch.

Day Trip Details

After picking you up from the designated pickup point, we will leave Belize City to explore the archeological site of Altun Ha. Upon arrival, we will visit one of the most significant Mayan cities in the country, dating back to the 3rd century. We will explore the ruins of the pyramids and discuss this small settlement's history and battles.

After visiting Altun Ha, we will have a 45-minute break at a local restaurant for a Belizean lunch. After lunch, we will proceed to Caves Branch, a river that flows through a complex of limestone caves.

Upon arrival, we will hike through the jungle for approximately 45 minutes until we reach the river's start. We will then board tubes to tube down the river to the caves. This 1.5-hour journey will conclude with a visit to the caves to admire their rock formations.

After this 7-hour day trip, we will drop you off at your hotel.
