Castellón de la Plana Day Trip
We will meet at 9:25 am outside the Benicassim Tourist Office to commence our tour. A short 15-minute minibus ride will take us to Castellón de la Plana.
Our first stop will be Grao de Castellón, where we will observe the fishing port and learn about the seafaring traditions of the area, discussing its evolution over recent decades.
Next, we will visit the Museum of Fine Arts, noted for its unique architectural style. Inside the exhibition rooms, we will see various sculptures, Valencian ceramics, and paintings from Zurbarán's workshop.
Afterwards, we will explore the historic centre of Castellón de la Plana, visiting Mercado de los Lunes (market) and notable landmarks such as the co-cathedral of Santa María la Mayor, the bell tower El Fadrí, the theatre, and the Central Market.
We will conclude the tour by returning to Benicassim at 1:30 pm.
