Peniscola Tour

At 9 am we'll meet at the Tourist Office in Benicassim and depart by minibus for Peniscola, a 40-minute journey.

Upon arrival, we will begin a guided walking tour of the historic center. Our first stop is the old artillery park to view the façade of Peniscola Castle, built by the Knights Templar in the late thirteenth century.

We will enter the castle to learn about its notable resident, Pedro Martínez de Luna, Pope Luna, and his exile in Peniscola, which led to his perception as an antipope by some in the Catholic Church.

Next, we will visit the 'bufador', a natural hole between the rocks that attracts tourists. Afterward, we will stroll through Peniscola's streets, seeing notable sites such as the Casa de las Conchas and the church of Santa Maria. Our final visit will be the Sea Museum, highlighting the town's maritime tradition.

The tour will conclude with a return to Benicassim by 2 pm.
