Peniscola Tour

At 9 am we'll meet at the Tourist Office in Benicassim and depart for Peniscola in a minibus, with the journey taking 40 minutes.

Upon arrival, we will begin a guided walking tour of the historic center. The first stop will be the artillery park to view the facade of Peniscola Castle, built by the Knights Templar in the late thirteenth century.

We will then visit the castle's interior to learn about Pedro Martínez de Luna, Pope Luna, and the circumstances of his exile in Peniscola, as well as the controversy surrounding his papacy.

Additionally, we will see the 'bufador', a natural opening between rocks and the sea, known for its roaring sound.

We will continue exploring Peniscola, visiting notable sites such as the Casa de las Conchas and the church of Santa Maria. The final stop will be the Sea Museum, focusing on the town's seafaring traditions.

The tour concludes at the meeting point in Benicassim at 2 pm.
