Excursion to St. Joseph's Caves

Our journey begins at the agreed time in front of the Benicassim Tourist Office. From there, we will embark on a minibus journey of 50 kilometers to Vall de Uxó, home to the stunning St. Joseph's Caves. Known as Coves de Sant Josep in Valencian, this cave system is a true natural treasure, proudly recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will commence our exploration aboard a boat, navigating 800 meters along the underground river while taking in the impressive scale of the caves. Be sure to look for ancient paintings on the walls and fossils in the crevices—remnants of the cave's inhabitants from over 15,000 years ago!

Next, we will transition to a 250-meter dry passage, where we can closely observe the stunning stalactites and stalagmites. An interesting detail: the caves maintain a consistent temperature of 20ºC all year round, no matter the season.

After 40 minutes spent immersed in this underground wonder, we will exit the caves and return to the minibus. This will conclude our tour, wrapping up a memorable 4-hour and 45-minute experience in Benicassim.
