St. Joseph's Caves Trip
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Benicassim Tourist Office. From there, we'll travel 50 kilometers by minibus to Vall de Uxó, home to the remarkable St. Joseph's Caves, a site recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The visit begins by boat, cruising 800 meters down the underground river, where participants can observe rock paintings and fossils, indicating the caves' use by inhabitants over 15,000 years ago.
Next, we'll walk through a 250-meter dry section of the caves, viewing impressive stalactites and stalagmites up close. The caves maintain a temperature of 20ºC year-round.
After 40 minutes in the caves, we will return to the minibus and head back to Benicassim, concluding our 4-hour and 45-minute tour.
