St. Joseph's Caves Trip
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Benicassim Tourist Office. From there, we will travel 50 kilometers by minibus to Vall de Uxó, home of the St. Joseph's Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our visit will start by boat, cruising 800 meters down the underground river as we admire the caves. Look for rock paintings and fossils, evidence of inhabitants over 15,000 years ago.
After the boat tour, we will walk through a 250-meter dry section of the caves to observe the stalactites and stalagmites. The caves maintain a constant temperature of 20ºC year-round.
After 40 minutes underground, we will return to the minibus and conclude our 4-hour and 45-minute tour back in Benicassim.
