St. Joseph's Caves Trip
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Benicassim Tourist Office. We will travel 50 kilometers by minibus to Vall de Uxó, home to the St. Joseph's Caves (Coves de Sant Josep), a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our visit starts by boat, cruising 800 meters down the underground river while admiring the caves. Look for rock paintings and fossils, evidence of the caves' inhabitants over 15,000 years ago.
We will continue on foot through a 250-meter dry section of the caves, observing stalactites and stalagmites up close. The caves maintain a constant temperature of 20ºC year-round.
After 40 minutes of exploration, we will return to the minibus and head back to Benicassim, concluding our 4-hour and 45-minute tour.
