Embark on a journey to the charming village of Villafamés, nestled in the Castellón province of Valencia. This enchanting locale, set against the backdrop of the Sierra de les Conteses mountains, offers a unique glimpse into the history and culture of the region.

Villafamés Day Trip from Benicassim

At the prearranged time, we will convene outside the Benicassim Tourist Office. After a brief introduction, we will board the minibus for a scenic ride lasting approximately 30 minutes to Villafamés.

Upon our arrival at this Asset of Cultural Interest, we will begin exploring the historic center of the village, guided by an expert who will unveil fascinating insights about its heritage.

During our excursion, we will view the Assumption Church’s façade, delve into the past of the village, and visit the castle to observe its robust walls. Our guide will also discuss the strategic significance that Villafamés and its fortress held throughout history.

Next, our path will lead us to Grossa Rock, a natural symbol of Villafamés, shrouded in intriguing myths and stories that we will uncover along the way.

Our final destination will be the Batlle Palace, a 15th-century structure that now accommodates the Villafamés Museum of Contemporary Art. Here, we will explore its various exhibition spaces and learn about diverse artistic movements of the 20th century.

Concluding our excursion, we will return to Benicassim, completing the trip in approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes from our departure.
