Bento Gonçalves Italian Immigration Tour

At 8:30 am, pickup will be at your hotel in Bento Gonçalves to begin our tour, focusing on the culture and traditions of Italians who emigrated to Brazil along the historic Caminho de Pedra. We will visit the Cantina Strapazzón, a site used for many films and soap operas.

Bento Gonçalves serves as an open-air museum preserving the past of Italian immigrants. We will start our culinary exploration at the Casa do Tomate, a house of typical Italian settlers that features a tomato producer.

Next, we will visit the Casa das Massas e do Artesanato, a handmade pasta factory producing tortellini, capelettis, and biscuits.

We will also explore the influence of Italians on the Brazilian textile industry at Casa de Tecelagem and Malhas G'Dom shops. The tour will include visits to Michele Carraro and Aurora wine estates, with a tasting of their wines.

At midday, there will be an Italian lunch featuring dishes like pasta, risotto, chicken, and polenta.

The tour will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel by 4:30 pm.
