On this tour of Italian immigration, we'll learn about the cultural heritage left by Italian migrants in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, as well as the history of their descendants.

Bento Gonçalves Italian Immigration Tour

At 8:30 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Bento Gonçalves to start this tour, where we'll explore the culture and traditions of the Italians who emigrated to Brazil by walking along the historic Caminho de Pedra.

Bento Gonçalves serves as an open-air museum reflecting the village's past and preserving the traditions of Italian immigrants. We will begin at Casa do Tomate, an Italian settlers' house that showcases tomato production and its derivatives.

Next, we will visit the Casa das Massas e do Artesanato, a handmade pasta factory making tortellini, capelettis, and biscuits. Following this, we will explore the impact of Italians on the Brazilian textile industry at the Casa de Tecelagem and Malhas G'Dom shops. The tour continues with visits to Michele Carraro, Salvatti, and Aurora wine estates, including a wine tasting.

At midday, we will stop for an Italian lunch, featuring typical dishes such as pasta, risotto, chicken, or polenta.

The tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel by 4:30 pm.
