With this ticket to the Epopeia Italiana Cultural Park, you'll learn about Italian immigration in Brazil and the impact on gaucha culture.
Why visit the Epopeia Italiana Cultural Park?
Over 150 years ago, large numbers of Italians began arriving in Brazil, particularly in the southern and southeastern regions. Between 1880 and 1960, 1.5 million Italians moved to Brazil. If you want to explore this aspect of Brazilian history, book your tickets for the Epopeia Italiana Cultural Park.
This park features over 2000 square metres of covered space and 9 stages, where you'll learn about Lazaro and Rosa, an Italian couple, through dramatic performances in Portuguese. They faced challenges but ultimately found success in gaucha lands.
During the tour, you'll visit the house of Lazaro in Pedersano, Italy, and the boat that took them to Rio Grande del Sur, their new home in Brazil. This visit will illustrate how Italian immigrants transformed the culture of southern Brazil.
The tour concludes with a cookie tasting.
