Do you want to learn about the traditions of the Brazilian wine capital? On this activity, we'll take a ride on the famous Maria Fumaça train and take part in the grape harvest at a wine estate.

Maria Fumaça Train + Vineyard Harvest Tour

At 9 am, we'll meet at the train station to start this experience and immerse ourselves in the customs of Bento Gonçalves, known as the Brazilian wine capital.

The tour begins with a ride on the Maria Fumaça train, also called the wine train. We will journey through the landscapes of the Serra Gaucha, passing scenic villages such as Carlos Barbosa and Garibaldi, while tasting the wines, champagnes, and grape juices of the region. The stops will feature live music performances.

Our next destination will be the Epopeia Italiana theme park, where we will learn about the traditions left by Italian immigrants. Following this, we will head to a family-owned wine estate.

We will participate in the grape harvest, picking grapes directly from the vines. Afterwards, we'll tread the grapes, a method of juice extraction from the Italian winemaking tradition, creating a celebratory atmosphere as locals cheer the grape treader.

After this experience at the wine estate, we will enjoy a traditional Italian appetizer, the merendim, accompanied by traditional music.

The experience will conclude as we return to Bento Gonçalves station, arriving around 4 pm.
