Tour Details

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Bento Gonçalves at the designated time to start this tour of the Rota dos Espumantes, where we'll learn about the history of champagne in Brazil.

The history began in 1913 when Italian immigrant Manoel Peterlongo made the first Brazilian sparkling wine using the natural fermentation process similar to that of French Dom Pérignon.

This route includes 17 wineries, and we’ll visit two prominent ones. First, we’ll stop at the Devorata Chocolate Truffle Shop, known for its truffles made with sparkling wine.

Next, we’ll visit the Peterlongo Winery, a pioneer authorized to use the word "champagne" on its labels. We’ll explore its 10,000-square-meter underground cellar and enjoy a tasting session. We’ll also revisit the Devorata shop for more truffles.

Our final stop will be Vinícola Garibaldi, a co-op with over 90 years of history. Here, we'll learn about the estate's sparkling wines before returning to Bento Gonçalves.

The tour lasts 4 hours and concludes at your hotel.
