Gorica Hill Hiking Tour

At the appointed time, we'll meet in front of the Mangalemi Hotel in Berat to start the Gorica hill hiking route. We'll reconnect with nature as we explore the inland region of Albania and climb Gorica hill.

Initially, we'll leave the historic centre of Berat, observing the first light of day as we enter the fields surrounding the so-called city of a thousand windows.

As we ascend, we'll enjoy panoramic views of Berat - cameras at the ready! From the hill, you'll see the neighbourhood on the opposite bank of the river, Mangalem.

This region is known for its stone houses, and we’ll admire the architecture featuring typical rectangular windows. Our route continues through fields of flowers and vines to the highest part of Gorica hill until we reach the summit.

We’ll pause for a photo break before descending down the opposite side of the hill. From this perspective, we’ll get a view of the surrounding valleys where oil and wine are produced. We’ll also pass the Gorica Bridge, one of the symbols of Berat.

We'll conclude the route, returning to the meeting point after about six hours.
