Gorica Hill Hiking Tour

At the appointed time we'll meet in front of the Mangalemi Hotel in Berat to start the Gorica hill hiking route. We'll reconnect with nature as we explore the inland region of Albania and climb Gorica hill.

First, we'll leave behind the historic centre of Berat, where we will see the first light of day and begin to enter the fields surrounding the so-called city of a thousand windows.

As we climb, we'll enjoy panoramic views of Berat - cameras at the ready! From the hill, you'll take in the neighborhood on the opposite bank of the river, Mangalem.

This region is famous for its stone houses. From this location, we'll see its architecture featuring typical rectangular windows. We'll continue walking through fields of flowers and vines to the highest part of Gorica hill until we reach the very top!

We'll pause for a photo break before making our descent down the opposite side of the hill. From this area, we'll have a view of the surrounding valleys, where oil and wine are produced. We'll also pass the Gorica Bridge, one of the symbols of Berat.

We'll end the route, arriving at the meeting point after about six hours.
