On this tour from Bergen, ride the iconic Flåm train and embark on a cruise through the Nærøyfjord.
Tour Details
We will meet at Strandkaien 16 to start the tour showcasing the Norwegian fjords. The journey includes narrow valleys, emerald waters, and steep hillsides.
We will begin by heading to Vossevangen, then drive by bus to Gudvangen. This Viking heritage village lies at the end of the Nærøyfjord.
Upon arrival in Gudvangen, we will have a 30-minute guided tour of the Viking village of Njardarheimr, exploring the Viking Age in Norway.
Next is the 2-hour cruise on the Nærøyfjorden, one of the narrowest fjords in the world, surrounded by mountains over 1,700 meters high and numerous waterfalls.
We will dock in Flåm for 30 to 55 minutes of free time to have lunch and explore the area, including the Railway Museum.
Our next activity is the Flåm train, which offers a 50-minute journey with stunning views of the Norwegian mountains, including a brief stop at Kjosfossen waterfall.
The tour will conclude at Myrdal Station, where we board a regular train to Bergen, finishing a 10-and-a-half-hour excursion at the Bergen railroad station.
Itinerary Adjustments
During summer, the bus from Vossevangen to Gudvangen will travel along the Stalheimskleiva, known for its incredible views of the Nærøy Valley.
