Are German vehicles truly the pinnacle of automotive engineering? Embark on this complimentary journey through the history of automobiles in Berlin with us, where we will explore the evolution of cars, from vintage models to the latest innovations.

Tour Overview

We'll convene at Zimmerstraße 97-100 at the designated hour. Nestled beneath the Berlin Wall, our exploration kicks off with an insightful look into the Trabant, the emblematic car of East Germany.

Our narrative unfolds with the inception of one of history's most legendary vehicles, created during the Nazi regime. Upon reaching Potsdamer Platz, we will encounter the first traffic signal in Europe. In this significant locale, near the site of the first automobile registration, we will delve into the beginnings of the automotive industry and discuss how this square emerged as Germany's busiest junction in the 1920s.

Next, we will leap forward a century and a half from the automobile's inception to explore an exhibition hall, where you can experience some of the most cutting-edge vehicles and gain insight into the future of automotive technology.

Moreover, we will examine how nations like China pose a challenge to dominant German car makers. You will have the opportunity to admire and even test-drive some of China’s finest automobiles, allowing you to form your own opinions on the evolving industry.

Finally, we’ll visit a historic workshop, now a haven for classic automobiles. Be prepared to marvel at an array of rare and timeless vehicles, each one carrying its own unique value and story.

After a thorough 3-hour exploration of Berlin’s rich automotive heritage and culture, our tour will draw to a close at Beusselstraße S-Bahn Station.
