Berlin Automobile History & Culture Tour
We’ll meet at the entrance of Espresso House at Potsdamer Platz 10. This location is significant as it is near where the first automobile patent was issued and under Europe’s first traffic lights.
The tour covers the origins of the automobile and its rapid rise, highlighting how Potsdamer Platz became Germany's busiest intersection in the 1920s. We will discuss the development of a famous car by the Nazis and learn about the most popular car in Communist Germany at the Berlin Wall.
We’ll then visit an exhibition hall showcasing advanced cars to illustrate the future of automobile technology.
Next, we’ll explore an exhibition on how China challenges major German manufacturers, featuring China's best cars available today.
Lastly, we’ll tour an old workshop with a collection of classic cars from the early 20th century to today. An expert will guide us through this collection of rare automobiles.
After 3 hours of insight into Berlin’s automotive history, we’ll conclude the tour at Beusselstraße S-Bahn Station.
