Berlin Automobile History & Culture Tour

At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the entrance of Espresso House at Potsdamer Platz 10, near the site of the first automobile patent and Europe’s first traffic lights, marking the beginning of our tour.

We will explore the origins of the automobile, its rise in popularity, and how Potsdamer Platz became Germany's busiest intersection in the 1920s. The tour includes insights into how the Nazis developed a renowned car model and the history behind the most popular car in Communist Germany, located at the Berlin Wall.

Next, we will visit an exhibition hall showcasing advanced cars, offering a glimpse into future automobile technology.

We will also visit an exhibition that illustrates how China is challenging major German car manufacturers. Participants will have the opportunity to ride in some of China’s contemporary best cars.

Lastly, we will tour an old workshop, now home to classic cars, guided by an expert who will present iconic vehicles from the early 20th century to the present day.

After 2.5 hours exploring Berlin’s automotive landscape, the tour will conclude at Beusselstraße S-Bahn Station.
