Berlin Automobile History & Culture Tour
At the indicated time, we’ll meet at the entrance of Espresso House at Potsdamer Platz 10, near the site where the first automobile patent was issued and under Europe’s first traffic lights. This location is ideal to begin our tour.
We'll explore the origins of the automobile, its rise to prominence, and how Potsdamer Platz became Germany's busiest intersection in the 1920s. We’ll discuss how the Nazis developed one of the most famous cars and uncover secrets of the most popular car in Communist Germany at the Berlin Wall.
Next, we’ll proceed 140 years from the automobile's creation to visit an exhibition hall where participants can experience the most advanced cars and glimpse future automobile technology.
We'll then go to an exhibition that highlights how China challenges major German car manufacturers. Participants will have the opportunity to ride in China's notable contemporary cars.
Finally, we'll visit an old workshop that houses classic cars. An expert will guide us through a collection of iconic vehicles from the early 20th century to present day.
After 3 hours of exploring Berlin's automotive history and culture, we’ll conclude the tour at Beusselstraße S-Bahn Station.
