Explore Berlin’s dark past on this tour of the Third Reich, tracing WWII history from the Reichstag to the Führerbunker and the Topography of Terror.

Tour Details

We will meet at 17 Reichstagufer at the designated time and begin our historical tour of Berlin and the Third Reich. The journey follows the footsteps of the advancing Soviet Army towards the final battle for Reichstag in 1945.

On the tour, we'll stop at the Trains to Life – Trains to Death Memorial to understand its significance. Next, we'll proceed to the Reichstag Parliament Building to learn about the 1933 fire that facilitated Hitler's rise to power.

We'll then visit the Soviet War Memorial in Tiergarten, and explore the Brandenburg Gate & Pariser Platz, significant sites that have transformed from symbols of the Nazi regime to symbols of peace.

As we continue, we'll discuss the Nazi regime's architectural plans at Wilhelm Str, the former seat of Nazi executive power, and the Air Force Ministry, where bombing strategies were devised.

The tour will include the site of the Führerbunker, detailing Hitler's last hours and the collapse of Germany.

Lastly, we'll conclude at the Topography of Terror, a key exhibition focusing on how modern Germany addresses its past through education and remembrance. The tour lasts 3 hours.
