This real-time treasure hunt is a self-guided activity where you'll explore Berlin following instructions on your mobile device. You will experience the history of a Berliner during the Cold War. Starting at Leipziger Platz, you'll solve clues and visit significant sites such as Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate, and Potsdamer Platz.

The adventure spans about 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) and includes a total of 11 stops, concluding at the Brandenburg Gate.

What's the story?

The treasure hunt is set in post-World War II Germany, depicting the division between Allied and Soviet forces. Rising tensions and escapes from the German Democratic Republic led to the Wall’s construction in 1961.

You will assume the role of a citizen of East Berlin, tasked with finding a way to reunite with your brother across the Wall within one to one and a half hours.
