Potsdam & Sachsenhausen Day Trip

On this day trip to Potsdam and Sachsenhausen, we will visit two historic sites in Germany, essential for those in Berlin.

Day Trip to Potsdam & Sachsenhausen

We will meet at the World Time Clock in Alexanderplatz at the scheduled time, board a bus, and begin our excursion from Berlin.

Our first stop includes a panoramic tour of the most important monuments of Berlin before heading to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.

At Sachsenhausen, we will take a guided tour to learn about the history of German concentration camps during Nazi rule. This will include visits to the courtyards, barracks, and cells, as well as insights into the work distribution and punishments faced by prisoners.

After Sachsenhausen, we will proceed to Potsdam, a World Heritage Site. We will take a guided tour of the city and view the exterior of the Sanssouci Palace and its park. You will also have one hour of free time for lunch.

We will return to Berlin, arriving back at the starting point after a total of 7 hours.

Sachsenhausen Day Trip

This option focuses solely on visiting the Sachsenhausen concentration camp for an in-depth exploration.

We will depart from central Berlin by bus, traveling to Sachsenhausen for a 2-hour guided tour that includes key sites such as the central courtyard, Tower A, barracks 38 and 39, the kitchen, Tower E, the prison, and the gas chamber.

After this visit, we will proceed by bus to the East Side Gallery, where we will view the famous graffiti of the Berlin Wall and learn about its historical significance.

The tour will conclude in the Kreuzberg neighborhood of Berlin after approximately 4.5 hours, allowing you to explore other points of interest such as Checkpoint Charlie, the Jewish Museum Berlin, and the Topography of Terror.
