Tour Details

Your adventure begins as we collect you from your hotel in Tuxtla Gutierrez at the arranged hour, setting off towards Chiapa de Corzo to initiate this memorable expedition.

In approximately half an hour, we'll arrive at our first location. Here, you'll embark on a picturesque boat tour through the stunning Sumidero Canyon, where cliffs soar to heights of 3280 ft (1000 m). Over the course of this 2-hour boat trip, expect to encounter striking geological formations, majestic waterfalls, and local wildlife, including crocodiles, monkeys, and a variety of birds.

Following this, we will journey for one hour to the primary Sumidero Canyon Viewpoint, where you'll have 40 minutes of leisure time to absorb the breathtaking vistas and capture remarkable photographs from above.

Next, we'll continue for about 40 minutes to visit the Miguel Álvarez del Toro Zoo, commonly referred to as Zoomat. This renowned zoo in Mexico is celebrated for its efforts to conserve native Chiapas species in their natural habitats. You’ll have the opportunity to see jaguars, quetzals, monkeys, and many other iconic regional animals.

Subsequently, as we make our way back to Tuxtla Gutierrez, we’ll pause at a local restaurant, allowing you 1 hour of free time to savor the local dishes. After approximately 20 minutes of travel, we will reach the monumental Cristo de Chiapas. This impressive cross, crafted from concrete and stainless steel, stands as a testament to the state of Chiapas. Here, you can enjoy panoramic views of Tuxtla Gutiérrez in all its glory, complemented by a breathtaking sunset.

Ultimately, we will conclude our journey with a return to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, arriving around 10 hours later.
