Basque Coast Day Trip

Travel through the northern Spanish region with this Basque Coast Day Trip. Discover its main tourist attractions including Getxo, Butron Castle, Mungia, Bermeo, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, the Urdaibai Reserve, and Gernika.

Day Trip Details

After picking you up from the meeting point at the indicated time, we'll travel to the estuary, passing through the industrial villages of Barakaldo, Sestao, and Portugalete.

Our first stop will be the Getxo Suspension Bridge, where you'll have free time for photographs.

The tour continues with a view of Butron Castle (45 metres high). We will then head towards the coast and stop at a viewpoint to see San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, a hermitage that was featured in the Game of Thrones series.

Next, we will visit Bermeo, a fishing village, and continue along the coast through Mundaka to admire the landscapes of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.

Our last stop will be Gernika, where we will learn about its history and visit the outside of the Casa de Juntas and its Tree.

On our return to Bilbao, we will cross the interior of Bizkaia, arriving at the starting point after our 7-hour day trip.
