Enjoy a boat trip on the Bilbao estuary and Abra Bay, and discover Biscay's highlights like the Guggenheim Museum, Hanging Bridge, and Santurtzi Port.

Activity Details

The crossing begins at the selected time from the pier at Plaza Pío Baroja. From here, you will embark on a scenic boat ride along the Bilbao Estuary and the Bay of Abra, an exploration through the Nervión Estuary.

The journey includes views of the Guggenheim Museum, the metallic structure contrasting with the waters, and the Euskalduna Palace, representing Bilbao's contemporary culture.

The nearby old shipyards reflect the industrial history that established Bilbao as a key naval power. As you progress, the cityscape showcases a blend of traditional and modern architecture.

As the boat moves beyond the city center, the estuary widens, presenting more iconic landscapes of Greater Bilbao. The trip advances towards Portugalete and features the Vizcaya Suspension Bridge, the first globally, recognized as a World Heritage Site. You will also see the historic mansions and marine villas of Santurtzi and Getxo.

During this 2-hour and 45-minute boat trip, passengers can relax in indoor and outdoor areas and enjoy refreshments from the bar. An audio guide will provide insights into the history of the estuary and the bay throughout the tour.
